Dear forum members,
Due to the operating system I presently use, I have been using openFOAM in a virtual environment (vmWare). My question is if anyone should have experiences with the expected speedup when running the solvers on a physical machine compared to a virtual machine on the same hardware? I would expect some speedup, but due to some acceleration technologies used in the VMs I am not really sure if a manifold increase in performance is reasonable to expect. Thanks a lot, Peter |
