Hi all, I have a question. Can i deal in open foam with dual meshes?
I mean, can i also do finite volume discretisation as node (vertex) centered fv scheme? Thanks in advance! Best regards, Alicja |

I know that OpenFoam use collocated grids. But i'm not sure about the FV schemes. Do the finite volume cells agree with mesh cells? Can i also define a finite volume around a vertex (vertex centered) and not around a cell center (cell-centered)? I already looked at the fvMatrix class, and i'm thinking that this is impossible (or hard to do).
thanks! ala |

I modified a little bit the laplacianFoam in the following way:
- first I read a volScalarField f=1 (right hand side) - next I modify this volScalarField f within the solver to f=sin( pi x )sin( pi y ) - and last i solve with constant (equal to 0) Dirichlet BC, with Is it OK like i did it? I 've attached the modified solver and the case. Comments and hints are appreciated! Greetings, Ala |

Has nobody a hint or an idea?
Thanks in advance, Alicja |
