Hello Everyone. I am using bubbleFoam solver to simulate a 2-D bubble collumn, I have modified the mesh so it is a rectangular domain and the air is coming from a fraction of the bottom of the domain. I was wonderinf if anyone can explain what is the difference between 0 and 0.org directories in bubbleColumn example? Thank you.

hi friend
0.org is the original folder which contains the initial condition for each variable but for better convergence they let the solver run and use other time directory as directory 0 and change directory 0 to 0.org!!!!!!!
look in dictionary 0 you can see variables are non-uniform but in 0.org variables are uniform !!!!!!!!!
so as conclusion
in ur SITUATION 0.org doesn't play any role!!!!!

Thank you for your reply. So I have got to get rid of all the values and just stick to the general initial conditions, am I right? My problem is that I have changed the mesh into a 2-D mesh which is basically three rectangulars attached to each other and the bubbles are rising from the mid rectangular. It works fine but I have lost the top air layer and I don't know why and how I can fix it.

I did but I am still missing the air layer on the top! Also have you got any idea on how to change the simulation from laminar to turbulent? I have turned on the turbulent option and selected k-epsilon method but am a bit lost on how to change the initial condition of k and epsilon. Thank you in advance for your help.
