Hi everybody!
Does anybody have any experience with the solver "rhoPorousMRFPimpleFoam" which is available in OpenFOAM 1.7? I read that it is designed for heat / ventilation problems, but its capibility to solve compressible MRF problems sounds interesting for Turbomachinery compuations, as well. Is there a chance to do so? As far as I see it, the "porous-media" features do not have to be used and might be switched off. -Andreas. |

Hi, I need to run simulations of high-speed compressible flow in turbomachinery by using rhoPorousMRFPimpleFoam. Could this solver be used for steady-state simulation? How are the inlet boundary conditions specified? Thanks very much.

Hi
I have heard this solver works for compressible porous flows. Did you guys figure out how to work with this solver? Thanks.
