Hello Together,
I am trying to modell a ship tank situation with the hydrodynamic solver (shipFOAM) and the wave boundary condition (waveBC) in 3 dimensions. Now have a problem with wave generation at the inlet (-> attached pictures) ... for me this looks like a problem of a boundary-condition at the inlet patch, but so far I have no idea, what to change ... maybe the solution will be simple ... I've set the waveBC at the inlet and the bottom ... I hope, someone has an idea or asks the right questions .. thanks in advance and greetings, Axel |

Hi Axel, i m trying a similar case: wave generation in 2D. I used groovyBC but i don't obtain good results. This is the case:
http://db.tt/dy59ZnA Now i d like to use waveBC but i didnt understand how to set this waveBC to obtain a simple wave of 1st order. How have i to set the alpha1 file?? Thanks in advance Emanuele |
