Hi,
PPl as far as i think this error is due to overshoot of delta t for critical time step. as the erroe explicitly comes form explicit solver. Dose anyone have any other datails for the erroer........!!! pls let us know....

Are you running Interfoam for your problem using a fixed deltaT or run-time modifyable deltaT ? Based on the Courant number calculated by the solver, the deltaT will keep chamging in order to satisfy your Max Courant number limit that you have prescribed in the controlDict file.
Of course, you need to tell us a little bit more about the problem, and when this error occurs. Cheers, Aravind |

Dear All,
I have similar problem with interFoam. Could someone help me to fix it? I'm using runTimeModifiable yes option for time step, but a Courant number is increasing fast. Thanks, Kerim |

Hi Kerim,
In that case. MAy be it comes because your problem involves sudden rise in pressure / velocity. check for skewness of elements for your mesh. (As i dont know which kind of mesh you are using). In case you expect suddden changes in values. try vanLeer schemes. I guess that could help you...!!! One more important thing is : i guess you cant just specify runTImeModifiable. along with that one should also apecify adjustTimestep maxCo and maxDeltaT : please check userguide U-61.
