doubt in representation the transpose of the velocity gradient

Hi Foamers,
I have a problem where I have to use the gradient of the velocity and its transpose. To calculate the gradient of the velocity I can do it using the expression: DU=fvc::grad(U); However, the expression DUT=fvc::grad(U).T(); does not work. What I am doing is write DUT=DU.T();. Is this equivalent to the expression that I am writing. I believe it is as DUT as an variable will inherit all the characteristics of the variable DU. Both were defined as tensor fields initialized in the createFields.H file If I am doing something, or there is a better way, please somebody tell how I can do this correctly. Regards, António Martins |
