Hi all, good morning.
I am using simplefoam(v1.4) to calculate a swirling flow in chamber, the case is download from ERCOFTAC database. http://cfd.mace.manchester.ac.uk/cgi...html&1&0&0&0&0 It is a 2D case. But I got some problem. When I want to compare the results with FLUENT ones, it seems that the result from FOAM have a great "dissipation". i post the velocity magnitude here, you may find that the high velocity in FLUENT last long. http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo...eat=directlink http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo...eat=directlink I used realizable k epsilon model for both of them. The grids are the same, y plus are around 60. (before this case, I run a case which y plus are around 5, the same thing happened.) Both of them use the same velocity inlet. the numerical schemes i used default ones, cause i confused by the differences between FOAM and FLUENT. Please, give me your ideas. Thanks. |
