Hello Dear Foamers,
I would like to know how I can determine the direction of cell face vectors of processor patches. To put it in other words: When I have got a mesh, which is devided into processorPatches as I run the case in parallel, and a cell face which lies on such a processorPatch and therefore separates two "processorAreas", how do I know to which cell (the one of processor 1 or the neighbouring one of processor 2) does the cell face vector point? For the internal field I can get owner cell and neighbour cell of that face, get the cell label of each cell and then I know that the cell face vector points in the direction of the cell with the larger cell label. It is also clear with wallPatches as the vector points away from the geometry. But what about processorPatches? I hope you forgive me that I posted this thread twice (also in the development area of the forum, yesterday) but maybe there are more people in the "Solver/CFD-Area" who have already dealt with this problem. So I decided to also put my question here. I would be very grateful, if you could help me on this. I thank you in advance for your time and effort! All the best, Sebastian Vogl |
