Dear Foamers,
i am running into trouble when using solidParticleFoam (http://openfoam-extend.svn.sourcefor...ParticleFoam.C) I have a pure hex 2d mesh (1 cell thickness) and position a particle in the mesh (i tripple checked that the position IS in the mesh). When running solidParticleFoam (with zero gravity) i encounter warnings like: --> FOAM Warning : From function Foam::cellPointWeight::findTriangle(const polyMesh&, const vector&, const label) in file interpolation/interpolation/interpolationCellPoint/cellPointWeight/cellPointWeight.C at line 291 Triangle search failed; using closest triangle to point cell face: 598 Sometimes those warnings vanish after some time and tracking works fine. But when i change the initial particle position only by 1mm then those warnings are shown indefinitly and no tracking occurs. Any ideas? Every kind oh help is highly appreciated. Thanks Christian |

Issue seems to be solved.
i used OF 1.5.x at first. After checking the solver with 1.6.x it seems to work fine |
