dieselfoam LISA spray model

Has anyone tried to run dieselFoam with LISA as the atomization model.
I have a following questions. 1 - do I leave the injectormodel on (say set to unitinjector)? 2 - set atomizationmodel to LISA what are the model parameters: (CL cTau, Q, J)? Are these all the parameters I need for LISA along with the RosinRammer parameters for the droplet size distribution? Q = gas density/liquid density cTau = breakup time (but shouldn't this be an output of the LISA model?) J is a constant in Senecal's paper but what value should it be set to? CL=? |

i didnt work with LISA until yet. The constants for the models are described in detail at the following papers: P.K. Senecal, D.P. Shmidt, I. Nouar, C.J. Rutland, R.D. Reitz, M. Thank you very much Christof for your response.
Q and J are strange. Q clearly is the gas to liquid density ratio and I don't know what J is. The strange thing is that it seems (from reading the source code) that the input values of both Q and J are ignored and they are calculated in the code. cTau is the perturbation ratio at the onset of breakup. The nomenclature found in both of the papers you quoted are not followed in the code. By comparing the experssions, I figured out (with helps from one of the original author of LISA) some of them. Does anyone know a tutorial using LISA out there somewhere? Thank you very much. |

Ive been looking into this for a while, but cant find the complete analogy between the code and the articles.
Q = gas/liquid density ratio c_Tau = breakup time C_L=characteristic breakup length? J = constant as in Senecal et al. Did anyone figure out exactly what they are and what they should be set to? |

Hello all,
I have recently started looking into the LISA implementation. I started by comparing between the paper and the code. In the LISA code, I see a variable called lisaExp (set to 0.27). I am not sure where this comes from because it is not present in the reference paper. Also, I can not understand the physics behind using "pRatio=spray_.ambientPressure()/ambientPressure;" Why does this affect the droplet diameter? It would be great if anybody could throw some light on this. Thanks, Suraj |

I am looking for a test case with implementation of LISA atomization model.
I've tried looking at the tutorials, but I could not find proper sprayCloudProperties file with the constants needed for the model. Can anybody help please ? Thank you. |
