Hello all,
I am currently working on an implementation of dieselFoam for an injector in which liquid water is injected into nitrogen gas. At this point, I do not want to inject any lagrangian particles. How can I set up the thermo so that I can have two continuous phases, one of which being an incompressible liquid and one being a perfect gas? I've tried several approaches, one of which being to use the chemkin tables like so thermoType hMixtureThermo<reactingMixture>; CHEMKINFile "$FOAM_CASE/chemkin/chem.inp"; CHEMKINThermoFile "$FOAM_CASE/chemkin/therm.dat"; inertSpecie N2; liquidComponents ( H2O ); liquidProperties { H2O H2O defaultCoeffs; } This results in very low densities in the H2O phase (less than 1 kg/m^3 while it should be 1000 kg/m^3). I've also looked into making my own thermo type, but it seems that it is necessary to specify the same type of equation of state for all phases (perfectGas). Is there any way to approach this? -Nat |

Hello Nat,
Possibly reactingFoam might do the job. It is also similar to dieselFoam. Not sure. |
