Hi,
For a study on the forces acting on a structure placed on the roof of a building I need to be able to maintain an atmospheric boundary layer over a set distance ahead of the building. Not only the velocity profile but also the turbulence profile is of importance. How can I best ensure that the profile I specify at the inlet does not change significantly? Is there a turbulence model that is well suited for this? Should I place turbulence creating blocks ahead of the building, just as is done in wind tunnels? The solver I will be using is simpleFoam, the turbulence model will probably be RNG k-epsilon. Any suggestion is appreciated. Thank you. Best regards, Sylvester |
