Hi,
I need to modify the van Driest's wall-damping function in vanDriestDelta.C but I have difficulties to find out how ystar is defined? What is the relation between yplus and ystar in FOAM? Usually, ystar=rho*(C_m)^0.25*k^0.5*y/mu, while yplus=rho*u_tau*y/mu If the van Driest's wall function f= 1 - exp(-yplus/Aplus_) is indeed used in vanDriestDelta.C then in FOAM y/ystar = yplus (?) I will appreciate your comments on ystar in FOAM. Thanks, Boyko |
