Hi,
i have already compiled OpenFOAM on a decAlpha with tru64 and MPICH2. Now, i get several errors, when i run e.g. simpleFoam on a Mesh with ~750000 cells. 5: [5] Case : rans 5: [5] Nprocs : 6 0: Reading field p 0: 0: Reading field U 0: 0: Reading/calculating face flux field phi 0: 0: Selecting incompressible transport model Newtonian 0: Selecting turbulence model kEpsilon 0: 0: Starting time loop 0: 0: Time = 1 0: 0: BICCG: Solving for Ux, Initial residual = 1, Final residual = 0.000590631, No Iterations 1 0: BICCG: Solving for Uy, Initial residual = 1, Final residual = 0.000505842, No Iterations 1 0: BICCG: Solving for Uz, Initial residual = 1, Final residual = 0.000449929, No Iterations 1 0: ICCG: Solving for p, Initial residual = 1, Final residual = 0.00997279, No Iterations 134 0: ICCG: Solving for p, Initial residual = 0.00894237, Final residual = 8.40657e-05, No Iterations 107 0: ICCG: Solving for p, Initial residual = 0.00318344, Final residual = 3.1132e-05, No Iterations 109 0: time step continuity errors : sum local = 0.0359926, global = -0.000188972, cumulative = -0.000188972 rank 2 in job 2 wsp05.fms.uni-rostock.de_1525 caused collective abort of all ranks exit status of rank 2: killed by signal 8 rank 3 in job 2 wsp05.fms.uni-rostock.de_1525 caused collective abort of all ranks exit status of rank 3: killed by signal 8 rank 4 in job 2 wsp05.fms.uni-rostock.de_1525 caused collective abort of all ranks exit status of rank 4: killed by signal 8 rank 5 in job 2 wsp05.fms.uni-rostock.de_1525 caused collective abort of all ranks exit status of rank 5: killed by signal 8 rank 1 in job 2 wsp05.fms.uni-rostock.de_1525 caused collective abort of all ranks exit status of rank 1: killed by signal 8 The mpd process is started perfectly on every machine, when i run mpdtrace, then it shows the workstations. If i decompose the mesh into 12 regions, then i get an error like this, ... new cannot satisfy memory request, this ... on ervery machine and i don't know why. Because of this i have to decompose in less regions; by the error at the beginning of the post i took 6 processors. So, my questions are: What do these errors mean? How can i solve them, then i would like to take more than 6 processors. However it has to work with 6 ones first before i can switch up. mfg, Matthias |
