I'm studying the flow past bluff bodies in a channel (icoFoam solver). I have some questions concerning the Courant number.

1. Is monitoring the Courant number relevant when we use implicit (crank-nicholson) schemes for temporal discretization?

2. What is the stability limit for Courant number that needs to be met when using the explicit (Euler) time-discretization scheme?

Thanks!

Should have RTFM before posting. Sorry! Found the answer in the lid-driven cavity tutorial.
