Hi All,
I am sure many of you would have come across the need for adaptive time-stepping. Is there any provision in OpenFOAM to do that. Any simple algorithm will do. For e.g. if the velocity does not converge. Start again from the previous time step value with a reduced time step = (some factor)(current time step). Likewise for increase of time step. Thanks, Badri |

Check out e.g. interFoam (setDeltaT.H). It has dynamic timestep control (based on previous time step Courant number)
