Hi all,
cell centres and their relative internal field present the same order in their lists, is it the same for the face centres of a patch and their relative patchfield? I mean: if a face centre of a patch has index i in the list of the face centres of that patch, has its patchfield value the same index in the "list" relative to the patch field? Thanks in advance Miriam |

You are correct (for all mesh properties). Boundary patches are ordered in the manner given by polyMesh/boundary file. Inside of each patch, faces and patch fields are ordered in the identical manner. Thus, the ordering of face centres, face area vectors, faceCells etc. is all matching.
Enjoy, Hrv
