Hi,

I've been viewing some of the previous threads about using the liftDrag utility from v1.2 and porting it to a newer version. I've been following the instructions kindly supplied by users and when I try and run 'ALLwmake' in the src/postProcessing directory I get the following error and messages:

Can anyone suggest what may be wrong? I've checked some of the other threads and I can confirm that I am using the OpenFOAM version of GCC.

Hi Phil,

I had the same problems with the "official" gcc-4.2.1 from OpenCFD so I changed back to my old gcc-4.1.2 self compiled version, which worked. So I stick with this version.

You may try to compile gcc yourself again. But the error may be somewhere else?

Yes - this is a mis-match between your version of the linker and the one used to compile the compiler. I recommend you re-build the compiler locally and all will be well. Instructions:

(download gcc sources from the web)
