hi all,

i am interested in solving a series of incompressible multiphase problems that include a significant charging component. does there exist an incompressible multiphase solver with the incorporation of an electrostatic component?

if not, i will begin writing such a solver myself. if anyone has any suggestions on where to start theoretically as far as incorporating a charge model into the incompressible multiphase solver, that would be much appreciated.

thanks

Hello Anthony,

It is very interesting to note that you are writing a solver for incorporating electrostatic model into the incompressible multiphase code. I had looked for charge model in openfoam but could not find. Is a solver for electrosmotic flow available in openfoam?
If I am correct a new solver for electroosmotic flow has to be written and coupled with the interFoam solver. It would be great if you can share some of your thoughts in developing of the same jointly.

Thanks.

Hi there,

Thanks for your response. Unless I get a response that indicates otherwise here, I will assume that this is not available in openFOAM. My survey of the source indicates that that is in fact the case. As I work on this, I will certainly keep you posted. If you have some specific thoughts feel free to email me.
