What is your gamma boundary called?

It should one of the following:
constantGammaContactAngle
dynamicGammaContactAngle
timeVaryingGammaContactAngle

check interFoam/interfaceProperties/gammaContactAngle
for details.

Hi, Eugene,

Thanks for the reply.

It works after I manually change from gammaContactAngle to constantGammaContactAngle.

However, if I use FoamX to set the case up, I only get "gammaContactAngle" - cannot specify whether it is constant or dynamic or timeVarying. Is it correct? Am I missing something when using FoamX? (this is not a problem in version 1.2).

Sorry to re-open this one but I have exactly the same problem, but I dont understand Eugene's answer to it.

I checked to find a file or directory called interFoam/interfaceProperties/gammaContactAngle (under applications/solvers/multiphase) but in my version (OpenFoam 1.4) I couldnt find anything there.

I tried changing "gammaContactAngle" to "constantGammaContactAngle" in the gamma file at time 0 - but that just produced another error because it didnt recognise the expression constantGammaContactAngle

If somebody could indulge a beginner like me and take me through what Pei did to get his case working I would be very grateful.

Many thanks
Mark

Hi, Mark,

Send me your email address. I can send you a simple case file to see if you can run it without any problem.

Hi, Mark,

Did you receive the test case I sent you? Did that resolve your issue?

Hi,

I have the same problem. And i still can't solve it.I hope anyyone who did out can tell me.

But i don't think it is a bug. In the dynamicGammaContactAngleFvPatchField.C,it said :

if "utheta" < SMALL {return Theta0}.

I think in this time , it uses the constantgammacontactAngle model
. else using the dynamicgammacontactAngle model !
