Hello,

I want to calculate compressible, turbulent, steady state situations. Like exhaust pipes or engine air inlets.
Therefore I would like to integrate the rhoSimpleFoam solver into FoamX. I am a rookie in OpenFoam, so I need your help. What is the best strategy to integrate the rhoSimpleFoam.

Is there anybody who did that already and could send me his FoamX directory for the rhoSimpleFoam solver?

I've found some topics in the board, but the files didn't work with my OpenFoam 1.4.1. I think there are some bugs in it.

What is the best way to integrate the solver to FoamX?
Which variables have to be used (using k-epsilon-turbulence model)? I suggest:

p
rho
U
h
epsilon
k

Is this correct?

Which solvers have to be used for the variables?

Thank you very much,

Sammy

Hi Sammy,

Seeing as FoamX has finally been ditched in OpenFOAM-1.5, you probably don't want to spend any effort integrating stuff into it.
