Hi all !

While trying to compile liftDrag, all is fine until step 7.
There I get the following:
/usr/bin/ld: warning: libincompressibleTransportModels.so, needed by /swcae/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-1.4/lib/linux64Gcc4DPOpt/libincompressiblePostProcessin g.so, not found (try using -rpath or -rpath-link)

And then from there on a load of warnings all the way until I get the final:
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make: *** [/swcae/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-1.4/applications/bin/linux64Gcc4DPOpt/liftDrag] Error 1
and no executable gets created.

I setup the LD_RUN_PATH variable to point to /swcae/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-1.4/lib/linux64Gcc4DPOpt where the lib is located but that didn't work either.

Any clue on how to solve the problem ?
Ta !

hi all,

I am using OpenFOAM-1.4.1 on a macintosh. I do not have any previous experince on OpenFOAM and hence no previous version. I am supposed to do the lift and drag force analysis on a airfoil and would need these directories I assume as I can not track them anywhere in my software. Could some one please post a zipped file for this

thanx

Please try to upgrade to OpenFOAM 1.5 and try to follow the instructions in this[1] thread. It might help.
