gamma.boundaryField().types() imposes on the volScalarField rho the same types of boundary conditions that are specified for the field gamma.

rho.oldTime() stores the values of rho as the old time values

Does "rho.oldTime()" store the value at the previous iteration? Why do you need to do that?

you need to do this, because the time derivative in the momentum equation includes rho. so you need an old time value of rho.
