Greetings all,
I have a few principal question for icoDymFoam, Can you use multiple patch of derived type as movingWallVelocity? What happen if the criteria for update with given tolerance arent met for all patches, that is one patch need to update while the other dont? Do i need to run update between each update of the patch? The reason for these questions is that i got a crash in icoDymfoam update of the mesh after using four derived patches of type movingWallVelocity. I have updated the mesh several times before, but only one patch at time. I have run with multiple patch , but with no update, that is fixed wall, and the update will then perform the check for need of update and pass the check without problem. This time my estimate implicated necessary patch change in 2 of 4 patches, but the update gave no update and crashed in the newmesh routine. Any idea? Best Regards Johan |

Hi!
if i understand you right, that the object you are moving is made up from several patches, then i think you can lopp over them and the update the whole lot. at least this what is done in the code i'm running now and it seems to work. but i'm not sure what you mean with the last part, when you mention you have fixed wall, is this part of the moving object or what is your setup? maybe post your case here if possible and maybe this would clear things. regards /Erik |
