hey naveen,
use openfoam 1.5 with its force-tool!! the different angle of attack you will have to set in die /0/U file in oyur casefolder. there is the vector for "inlet" velocity (0 0 0). just change the x and y component to the wished value (must calculate from SIN or COS). e.g. (1 1 0) for angle of 45deg and speed of sqrt(2) (=1.41 m/s). |

Hi Emanuele,
Are you defining the airfoil surfaces as a single patch, and if so, how are you doing that? I'm having problems simulating flow at 5 degrees aoa. When I try to visualize the streams, there are very few streams visible and the Cl and Cd values don't make sense. What mesh generator are you using? Would it be possible to post your case files so I can gain more insight into the solvers and variables you're setting? Thanks. |
