Hello,
I would have liked to ask what kind of boundary condition I should set on a wall where there is a triple point (limit between my fluid and air). I would like this triple point to move naturally during the simulation. I saw in another thread that the slip condition for motionU worked if the wall was flat. But, what if it is not flat? I think the slip BC takes point-normal information from each patch and uses that to zero-out the forces in that direction at the motion-solver level.
If this is indeed the case, then I guess the slip boundary should work even on a non-planar wall. But I would be a little concerned if mass-conservation is a priority in your simulation - moving points on a non-planar surface tends to develop minor errors in domain-volume over time. There's only one way to find out - try it! |

Virginie, have you continued your work with interTrackFoam? If so, did you experience any problems with wall contact?
