KY412 is on a distinguished road
Dear All,

I am working on a 2D simulation of unsteady airflow around an airfoil at a Reynolds number of 1×10^6. In my research, I have come across discussions suggesting that LES may not be appropriate for 2D cases due to its limitations in such scenarios.

LES for 2D case?

However, as far as I understand, LES seems to be the only viable option for high Reynolds numbers and unsteady flows.

Could you kindly suggest which model and solver in OpenFOAM would be most suitable for this situation? Additionally, if you have any references or resources that might guide me, I would greatly appreciate it.

Best regards,
