Hi everyone,
I am currently attempting to model 2D, laminar, steady-state humid air in a solar still using OF6. I have selected the buoyantBoussinesqSimpleFoam solver and added a species transport equation into the solver. The heat transfer mechanism in the solar still is natural convection, with water vapor diffusing into the domain. The properties of the humid air are considered constant. All boundaries are treated as walls. The upper and lower boundaries are set to constant temperature and concentration, while the left and right walls are thermally and mass adiabatic. However, I am encountering a problem: the solver fails to converge, and the results appear nonphysical. The flow pattern and Nusselt number are significantly different from expected values. Despite trying various grid configurations and boundary conditions, the issue persists. Is buoyantBoussinesqSimpleFoam the right solver? and Should I consider changing fvSchemes? Thank you. |
