Hello everyone,

I am working on a CFD simulation in OpenFOAM where I have a channel flow with a specific inlet velocity. Over this base flow, I am aiming to create surface waves. I am curious if there is a way to achieve this setup purely through boundary conditions.

Could anyone suggest the best approach for setting up this type of simulation in OpenFOAM? Specifically:

Is it feasible to generate surface waves just through boundary conditions?
Are there particular boundary conditions or solver settings that you would recommend?

Thank you in advance for any advice or guidance you can provide.
