Hi foamers,
I'm looking to simulate a floating object subjected to waves and held by 11 mooring lines. Before relying on the Foam mooring module, I want to use the restraint function "linearAxialAngularSpring" available with the librairy : dynamlicMotionSolverFvMEsh. The test case works very well with th 'sixDoFRigidBodyMotionConstraint axis" constraint function, but when I configure the number of mooring lines the simulation diverges. Have you encountered this problem before? I used stiffness and damping parameters for the lines based on values from TLP (Tension Leg Platform). In this configuration, the lines are tensioned to keep the floating body in position. But when looking at the position of the center of gravity, it takes values on the order of 10e+24, enough to change galaxies . How is that possible? I am attaching the folder, but i cannot attach the STL file as it exceeds the maximum size. Thank you for your responses and any help Last edited by salicTo; October 11, 2024 at 10:24. |
