Hello everybody,
I need your support to solve a challenging situation I face with rhoSimpleFoam solver. I'd like to compare results between StarCCM+ and OpenFOAM for a simple air manifold case. Both runs with SIMPLE solver using compressible and similar settings. It perfectly runs with STARCCM+ but it quickly stops (after 6 iterations) with OpenFOAM 2312. The key facts are: ->The OpenFoam case works only if I set the solver SIMPLEC. This leads to different results between StarCCM+ and OpenFOAM. As soon as the consistent option is deactivated the solver crashes. ->Mesh has been checked ->If I reduce by 70% the inlet massflowrate it works but if I set a ramp the computation crashes when reaching 50% of the targeted massflowrate. -> I've also tried to play with under relaxation coefficient without any success Before I eventually share some setting information. Do you have any ideas of what could be the reasons of such issue? Thank you in advance for your help |
