Hello everyone,
I'm relatively new to OpenFOAM simulation and asking any of you for help in my case regarding gas dispersion in the air (with no reaction). I want to simulate gas dispersion in the air, with buoyancy effect induced by the density difference between them. Solvers that I considered for this case are: buoyantSimpleFoam, buoyant BoussinesqSimpleFoam, reactingFoam, and rhoReactingBuoyantFoam. I am wondering if buoyantSimpleFoam and buoyantBoussinesqSimpleFoam could handle multi-species problems like my case (I tried to add species transport equations in the source code, but I cannot compile them sucessfully). ReactingFoam and rhoReactingBuoyantFoam are transient-state solver, it will take very long to just simulate several seconds of physical time. So I prefer to find a steady-state solver for my case concerning multi-species and density differences between them. Do you have any suggestions for solving multi-speciecs transport problems using steady-state solvers? Anyone could help or offer some hints about this problem? Thanks! |
