Hi,

I'm trying to set up a flow past airfoil case using rhoSimpleFoam.

I would like to use the total pressure as the inlet BC instead of fixed value velocity BC as before so as to validate with an expt.

My pres BC at inlet is:

type totalPressure;
p0 uniform $p_total;

for internal, I use the static P

internalField uniform $p_inf;

For vel BC at inlet:

type pressureInletOutletVelocity;

value uniform (0 0 0);

internalField uniform (0 0 0);

However, the run diverges almost immediately. So I wonder what's wrong.

How should I set the int field for P and U?

Should the outlet BC change now due to the use of total pressure?

I'm using zero gradient or inletOutlet as BC

Thanks
