user is on a distinguished road
Dear Foamers,

I want to model a multiphase-multicomponent problem (i.e one liquid phase and one gas phase with multiple chemical species) with the volume-of-fluid approach. Could compressibleInterFoam be used in combination with multiComponentMixure (or reactingMixture) so that there are multiple species in the gas phase?

I already tried to modify the climbingRod tutorial from OF-v2406 with some of the tutorials for rhoReactingFoam but it seems that the species are not solved for. Does anybody has experience with such simulations? Could it be possible with the Foundation-Version (e.g. OpenFOAM 12)?

Best regards and thanks in advance
Ulf
