Hello community members,

I have a question regarding setting the parameters for Stream function wave in OpenFOAM 2206, especially the fourier coefficients Ejs and Bjs representing elevation and velcoity values respectively.

https://www.openfoam.com/documentati...-function.html

Does any one have any idea how to determine these fourier coefficients ? Was anyone succesfull to generate waves using steram function theory, can you please point me in the right direction ?

I know of a program based on fenton wave thoery which is a part of wavepackage olaflow which helps to determine these fourier cofficienets. Tutorial runs find but when I put my own wave paramters Ejs and Bjs then wave is breaking and alpha is 1.6 at the every inlet ;(

Anykind of help would be much appreicated. Because the official OF webpage says that Its is still under construction. I mean I can generate some coefficnets using SF thoery however, I am not also sure which order they so I highly doubt if it is going to work without proper guidance.

I recently want to create a wave-current interaction, and it seems that in ESI, it can only be done using the stream function for the Umean parameter. I found this forum through searching, and I would like to learn more details from here. Thanks a lot.

I spent the whole day and found two websites that might be helpful. One is the openfoamwiki of OlaFlow, and the other is Fenton's personal website, which includes an introduction and code.
