Hi everyone,
I am doing a simulation of a 1-way coupling lagrangian particle tracking with a incompressible fluid in OpenFOAM. I am using the solver icoUncoupledKinematicParcelFoam. I found little detailed information, but with the openfoam tutorial folder and some question in the forum I managed to set up my case. However I got a bad error: Segmentation fault (core dumped) What I have done basically was: - RUN my case "water" with PISOFoam to obtain the flowfield (I solved the simulation in parallel) -COPIED the entire folder water after the simulation in a new folder called "water and particles" - DID the following changes, by looking at the Hopper case in OpenFOAM tutorial: 1) 0 folder : I had p and U from PISOfoam and changed with mu rho U ( consistently with my case values) 2) constant folder: added the new g, kinematicCloudPosition, kinematicCloudProperties (adapted to my case) 3)System folderr: changed the application to icoUncoupledKinematicParcelFoam in the controlDict file, and changed fvSchemes and fvSolution as it is in the tutorial (basically everything empty except for the interpolation scheme) then I run my "water and particles case" from the terminal with icoUncoupledKinematicParcelFoam and get the error. Is my procedure correct? Is something missing? Since the error does not point me out the specific mistake I find really hard to find it. Thank you in advance |
