Dear Foamers,

I have an issue with a simulation that uses dynamicMesh (sliding mesh). My pressure is subject to significant fluctuations between timesteps that are almost certainly not physical. This behavior is most likely due to the dynamic mesh and something I might be setting up incorrectly because when I simulate the same case with MRF instead of dynamicMesh, these fluctuations disappear. Here are some details:

-The case is quite simple: a cross with 4 arms rotating on its axis enclosed in a stationary cylinder. The walls of the cross have movingWallVelocity, while those of the cylinder have noSlip.
-The simulation is performed with PIMPLE, k-omegaSST with y+ = 8 (average), and 15 layers.
-The dynamic motion solver used is solidBody omega 400 rad/sec, with cyclicAMI interfaces: noOrdering, matchTolerance 1e-5.
-I am using 5 outer correctors, 3 correctors, and 1 nonOrthogonalCorrector, the non-orthogonality is <65 and the skewness is <3.5.
-I am using a fixed timestep of 1e-5, which ensures a Courant number of about 1.5.
-Second-order in space with gradient limiter and backward in time.

My main concern is that the PIMPLE loops never reach convergence, and this might be the problem. I tried setting them to a very high value (30), but the solver executed all 30 and took forever for one iteration... Do you have any idea what the problem might be and what I can try?

I had the exact same problem as you, did you solve it please?
