Hi!

I'm quite new to OpenFOAM and am running into some issues when trying to run a 2D simulation of a NACA0012 airfoil under laminar, incompressible conditions. I'm using blockMesh to perform the mesh and a Reynold's number of 10,000. I cannot seem to get anything but very refined meshes to converge, and even those more refined meshes won't converge under an angle of attack of even as high as 5deg. I have to perform a mesh sensitivity study so I do need to have coarser meshes running also. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated! I have attached all the files below, and an image of the mesh.

Thanks!

Sorry I should've also mentioned, I'm using the simpleFoam solver!

I am not sure how to help you.

I assume you have seen OpenFoam airfoil tutorials, see e.g. https://www.openfoam.com/documentati...irfoil-2d.html

Where exactly are you getting stuck?

Do you want to start running simulation of potentiaFoam (easier to obtain convergence)

Hi!
Thanks so much for getting back to me and very sorry for not responding quicker. I think I may have solved my issue so I completely forgot to check the thread again.
Thanks and apologies again!
