Hello Everyone
I am simulating my model using the chtMultiRegionSimpleFoam. In my model fluid is going down through annulus and coming back from inner pipe so it is basically a counter flow heat exchanger.
As the heat transfer takes place from one fluid to another through solid region so
Please suggest me the Temperature boundary condition at the solid-fluid interface

Thanks

Hello,

for CHT simulations the BC for fluid/solid interfaces is usually compressible::turbulentTemperatureRadCoupledMixed.
Name may vary depending on the OpenFOAM version you are using. Check chtMultiRegionSimpleFoam tutorials to see what boundary condition is used.

Regards,
Yann

Thanks Sir for reply
but Sir i am using incompressible fluid (water) in my simulation study.
can i use this BC for incompressible fluid also?

Thanks

chtMultiRegionSimpleFoam is a compressible solver, this is why the boundary condition is related to compressible class.
You can use it for water.

Sir, is there any solver for solving heat transfer and fluid flow simultaneously for Incompressible fluids?
or should i mention incompressible in chtMultiRegionSimpleFoam ?

Thanks

Sir, I have read in one thread that set incompressible (rhoConstant )in Thermophysical properties, does not couple heat transfer and fluid flow.
is this true?
if this is true then what equation of state should i choose for coupling of heat and fluid flow.
should i use icopolynomial or something else?

Thanks
