Hello to all of you experts. I am a n00b with OpenFOAM, having only used it for a few months; I am trying to simulate a gas-liquid flow in a curved pipe. I prefer to stay 2D for the sake of getting initial results as quickly as possible.

I am using the twoPhaseEuler -solver in a rectangular geometry where the air/water flow is along the long dimension of the pipe (Y).

I was hoping that I could simplify / speed up the simulation by a simple mesh I’ve generated in with blockMesh (rather than a curved 2D pipe), and introduce the centrifugal term to the momentum equation directly as U.Y^2/radius, i.e. using the along-direction velocity vector (i.e. tangential) field to calculate the radial (along X) acceleration.

I’ve read many posts here about fvOptions, but so far am unsure if fvOption could be used to introduce this acceleration term .

Any hints would be greatly appreciated!
