Hi everyone,
I am currently working on a hydrogeology project where I have to pass flow through a rock core sample and check its porosity. The objective is to obtain results similar to those obtained experimentally. In the first step, I simulate flow through cylindrical structures perpendicular to the flow direction to mimic rock-like conditions while knowing their porosity. For meshing, I'm using the SALOME code because I encountered significant skewness issues with Snappy. Right now, I'm testing the solver icoFoam, but it diverges rapidly. I have tried reducing the time step (deltaT) and increasing the mesh size, but the divergence problem persists. Then, I attempted the simpleFOam solver, but encountered the same issue. If any of you have encountered this kind of problem before, please let me know. I am attaching the test file for the icoFoam solver case. Thanks. Have a great weekend, everyone! Tom |
