I am trying to simulate vertical flat plate steam condensation with a slightly modified version of the interCondensatingEvaporatingFoam solver. I am comparing my results with Nusselt theory and my condensate film thickness is consistently about 0.4 mm at the bottom of plate that is 0.2 m tall. Nusselt theory predicts the film should be .136 mm at this location. I have tried several dozen different configurations but my model keeps predicting a film thickness that is too thick. Has anyone been successful in simulating flat plate condensation with results that compared favorably with Nusselt theory?
