Hello guys,
I need to simulate the motion of a piston that has the motion shown in the figure below. pistonDrawing.PNG so basically the piston doesn't press on the whole fluid region, there are liquid surrounding the piston. In this problem, I know that I need mesh motion + topology changes (sliding interface and layer addition/removal). I saw many videos and many posts on this forum but I am still confused. My questions are: 1. Is there a dynamic mesh library that can work with this problem directly? (I tried Code:
solidBodyMotion Code:
dispalcementLayeredMotion 2. If there is not a direct library to use? what libraries shall I combine their features? and I want some guidelines in this process. Thank you so much. |

Why don't you try linearValveLayersFvMesh from foamExtend. They do have that feature of attach-detach, sliding and layer addition removal. Note: These library compiles only in foamExtend.
