Hi,

I am trying to simulate oscillating flow of a viscous incompressible fluid through periodic tubes by using the solver pimpleFoam. I have applied cyclicAMI periodic boundary condition at the inlet and outlet. Also, I have used accelerationSource fvModel with sine function to create sinusoidally oscillating flow, as you can see below:

accelerationSource1
{
type accelerationSource;
selectionMode all;
U U;
velocity scale;
value (1 0 0);

scale
{
type sine;
frequency 1;
amplitude 1;
scale 1;
level 0;
}
}

Although the flow is now sinusoidally oscillating, but it is not the same for each oscillation.

Is there any way to create sinusoidally oscillating flow through a periodic tube so that the flow will be same for each oscillation?

I appreciate your suggestion in this regard.

Cheers,
Nazmul
