Default buoyantPimpleFoam blows up on large scale simulations

These days I found buoyantPimpleFoam is not stable for large scale simulations (like ABL). Please see attachment for the test case (run buoyantFoam directly by openfoam-10, or buoyantPimpleFoam by openfoam-9 and lower), which is pretty simple. What I simulate is a rectangle box (2.2km high) with left inlet and right outlet. It easily blows up after several seconds.

If we scale it 1000 times smaller. Everything is fine.

I would be happy to hear your suggestions :-)

Alright. I did lots of test. I found the old version bouyantBoussinesqPimpleFoam is stabler than the new bouyantPimpleFoam. Right now I transport bouyantBoussinesqPimpleFoam from openfoam-6 to openfoam-9. Everything works fine.
