I am interested in using the mixtureFaction soot model in OpenFOAM to study the effects of soot radiation. I've successful get a soot profile but have difficulty introducing the radiation effect of soot. I think I have to specify the absorption coefficient for soot, but I don't know how to realize it. I have looked for relevant examples in the official tutorial cases, but haven't found anything useful. If anyone has experience with this or can offer any guidance, I would greatly appreciate your help.

Have a look into constant/radiationProperties that the tutorials provide using

Code:
tut
find . -name radiationProperties -print
and get in touch with more detailed queries.

Thank you for your reply! I've used

Code:
find -name radiationProperties | xargs grep -ri soot
to check the radiationProperties file that contains soot,

"combustion/fireFoam/LES/flameSpreadWaterSuppressionPanel" has an entry "greyMeanAbsorptionEmissionSootCoeffs". However, that entry seems to be dispersed.

Only "combustion/fireFoam/LES/smallPoolFire2D" activate the soot model, but no spectral model is included for the soot.

None of them can help me.

Check what Fluent does and implement that in OpenFoam?

Yes, that could be a solution. Thank you very much.
