Hello,

So I was wondering how I would start with this particular case in OpenFOAM.

I will be simulating a vacuum break of liquid helium cooled tubes, and was wondering how to go about it. Air will be substituted with Nitrogen gas.

I have simulated two phase incompressible flow using openfoam before and had used he multiPhaseEulerFoam solver, however I am not sure if there is anything readily available or even partially for this particular case.

A little details about the case:

1- compressible flow.
2- condensation and frosting layer, mass deposition of the propagating nitrogen gas in the vacuum tube.
3- Heat transfer involved.
4- I will do 1D and then 2D.

these are the basics I will start with ideally.

Accepting suggestions and advice! I have never internally modified a case, so if that is the only option, please guide me to where I can start!

Thanks!

Regards,
Qutadah
