Hello everyone,
I am running my simulation where I initialize the location of particles by using a cellZoneInjection. Now I'm investigating the effect of grid refinement on the the final solution, however by looking at some contoursI realized of some weird behavior. (see pic) 1) When I use coarse grid, the particles are distributed evenly. Which is OK. 2) But, when I refine the mesh, the particles are not distributed in the finer cells. In fact, there are only local spots of excessive particle concentration and mostly no particles at all! Currently I'm using a total of 1M parcels. Does anyone has experienced something similiar? If so, how to fix this? It is very important to me because the simulation crashes in the finer mesh, and I believe has something to do with the sharp gradient of particle concentration at the center. |
