I am trying to simulate a case with a linear density gradient(single-phase, water).

I have read some papers introducing thermal transport (energy conservation) and setting up a polynomial relationship between density and temperature to realize density stratification.
I wonder whether there are other open-source models without using such a way (like introducing a state equation), but solve the density transportation directly in the OpenFOAM.
